Project BAM Book by Kathy Orta


I just came across Kathy Orta work about a week ago...I love her...I am inspired to create 3 BAM Book (Book About Me) one for each of my kids...I am going to give them this book once they become adults...I think book for parents to create to leave behind...

  





BFF Baby Shower

I helped planned and setup my best friend Koretta Harris baby shower. She is expecting her first child and it's a girl....We are so excited for her. Everything turned out so pretty....I created all the invitations for this shower. I will be attaching photos of it as well...

Missing you cards for my daughter



These were all the cards I made my daughter while she was at camp... I could have made several cards everyday to send her but I didn't want to spoil her with to many cards...

Brownie Blast Girl Scouts Camp



My daughter attended the Brownie Blast Girl Scouts Camp from July 1-6..This was her first camp and she had a really good time...I emailed and mailed her cards daily...The pictures of the cards will be posted...

Homemade Pound Cake

I made this delicious pound cake this past weekend for my family. My mom actually told me that it's better then her recipe...I was like wow...My mom is a very good cook..The recipe is listed below...Enjoy

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter, plus more for pan
  • 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for pan
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
With a mixer, cream butter and shortening together. Add sugar, a little at a time. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each addition. Stir dry ingredients together in a bowl and add to mixer alternately with milk, starting with the flour and ending with the flour. Mix in vanilla. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan and bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.

Vanilla Brown Sugar Body Scrub
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup sunflower oil

1.  Mix sugar & brown sugar together until there are no lumps.
2.  Stir in vanilla extract & sunflower oil.




Homemade Lemon Sugar Scrub

Lemon Sugar Hand Scrub
2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
4 tablespoons lemon juice
*Stir together sugar & olive oil.
*Add lemon juice.
*Makes about 12 ounces!!
